Liz Martin
Atmospheric, passionate, and brooding, Liz Martin is a distinctive Australian music talent. Fusing dark folk, lush arrangements, and a compelling rhythmic pulse, her songs captivate through their musical and lyrical diversity, driven by her unmistakable, emotionally resonant voice.
Over three albums and three EPs—independently released through MGM Distribution—Martin has cultivated a sound that is uniquely her own. Her recordings have garnered critical acclaim and consistent support from radio and live audiences alike, with Tim Ritchie describing her music as “evocative, alluring and strangely comforting,” and Rhythms Magazine naming her “one of Australia’s most versatile talents.”
Her career highlights include a 2021 commission from the Sydney Opera House for its Liminal concert film series and a 2015 commission by Restless Dance Theatre for Touched. She has also collaborated extensively, including the Without You EP with Eric Chapus (Endorphin) and vocal performances on Paul Mac’s ARIA Gold–certified 3000 Feet High.
Martin has performed nationally and internationally at iconic venues and festivals. Her live performances are widely praised for their intimacy, power, and deep emotional connection with audiences.
