Known for vivid paintings depicting Country and stories from her childhood, for the 25th Biennale of Sydney, respected Yindjibarndi Elder Wendy Hubert has expanded her art practice to create a large-scale garden installation and exhibition that celebrates ancestral knowledge. Wendy’s artist’s garden reimagines the Pilbara in Penrith, creating a space for yarning, listening, and learning about shared responsibilities through Yindjibarndi nyinyart (reciprocity) in caring for Country.
