Please note, The Waterhouse will be closed on Tuesday, 7 June due to program changes.

Program:

Making Together: Weaving Walls
Drop-in and learn weaving techniques and dilly bag stitches using upcycled pre-loved fabrics. Add your contribution to the collective work that will grow throughout the course of the exhibition.

As a collaborative project made with and by the Biennale of Sydney community, Making Together: Weaving Walls provides a deep and enriching insight into the workings of Casino Wake Up Time and the reimaging of discarded materials.

Gifting Knowledge
Select a piece of paper, gather a pencil and write a small note to add to evolving artwork. Gifting Knowledge is a permanent feature of The Waterhouse, inviting everyone of all ages to offer their contributions to a growing wall of life learnings.

Splish Splash
Join us as we record all the sounds, patterns, shapes and colours of water on a collaborative drawing wall. Encourage your friends and family to draw with you as you reflect upon your own water memories and stories and interact with the memories and stories of others.

Multilingual watery library
Dive into diverse water stories, fables and poetry from across different cultures and languages through our multilingual library. Learn about the many ways waters shape the landscape and our community and our moods and emotions.

World-Building
Young people unite! In response to the recent floods of NSW that have seen our cities, towns and suburbs submerged in water, we invite a response from you! How might we float? Sail? And imagine life on the water? We want you to imagine a floating city. Think about how our communities might adapt and respond to rapid shifts in climate in playful and imaginative ways.
