Art After Dark
During the 24th Biennale of Sydney, Ten Thousand Suns, Wednesday evenings hosted ‘Art After Dark’, a night of music, experimentation and performance inspired by the industrial, architectural gem that is White Bay Power Station.
Opened to the public for the first time in 100 years, White Bay Power Station was filled with exhilarating contemporary art installed throughout the Turbine Hall and Boiler Room, woven into hidden passageways and tucked into recesses, and floating from the roof eight storeys above.
With a visionary program of music which featured some of Australia’s hottest musical acts presented by Phoenix Central Park, and offered free access to the Biennale of Sydney exhibition. It was the perfect weekly event with friends for a memorable night of dancing, pop-up bars, food trucks, and art, of course!
The 24th Biennale of Sydney, Ten Thousand Suns, has now closed.
