Yaritji Young is a highly respected artist and Senior Law Woman from Amata Community on the APY Lands in the far north of South Australia. Young is a Traditional Owner for Tjala Tjukurpa (Honey Ant story) near Amata. She paints the journey of the tjala as they tunnel underground, their transit marked by twisted lines that entwine with rock holes, caves, and landmarks of her Country. As well as painting individually, Young paints with her sisters as the Ken Sister Collaborative.
