Marcus Whale is a musician and performance-maker, and member of the bands Perfect Actress, Collarbones and BV. As a solo artist, his performances explore the tension and spontaneity of the performative moment, often moving off the stage and into the room. Presented across club, theatre and more makeshift contexts, these performances draw from the pageantry of religious ritual, queer performance and horror film in feeling and thinking through desire, excess and the void. Recent shows include Ecstasy for Liveworks Festival and The Substation/Rising, Needlemouth and Tower of Babel for Soft Centre/Now or Never and Tiny Hole Inside Me (with Andrea Illes) for The Lab.
