An.Other Collective is a community of Muslim female makers, artists, and designers spanning Sydney and Melbourne.

Founded in March 2022 by Wasielah Noorsjamsi and Vina Purwantoro, the collective has now grown to 35 members across diverse creative disciplines such as visual art, design, architecture, illustration, filmmaking, photography, creative writing, and more. The term ‘An Other’ comes from the shared feeling of ‘otherness’ felt by members of the collective as they navigate what it means to be Muslim Women working in the arts in Australia.

An.Other Collective serves as a recognition and celebration of ‘otherness’ by gathering perspectives of individuals and communities on matters associated with faith, politics, identity, art and culture.”
