I come from Somali, Kenyan, and Tanzanian roots — a daughter of East Africa carrying flavours, stories, and strength across oceans. Arriving in Australia in 2002, I made the Inner West my home and found community where I once knew no one. As a proud single mother, and a founder of Ayeyo Community Inc and Africa Fusion, I’m building more than a business — I’m building a legacy, sharing the taste of home with the world while showing my children what resilience, gratitude, and purpose look like.
