A discussion reflecting on the legacy of artists both Australian and International who lived with HIV. Rejecting the perma-tragedy of an artist’s passing this panel looks to rebalance the narrative of HIV/AIDS impact on the visual art world, recognising the vitality, contribution and legacy of a cohort of artists whose lives and achievements warrant celebration. It also looks to interrelationship of art and HIV activism as something fundamentally concerned with the art of living well.
