Biennale of Sydney

📣 Opening today, Sharjah Biennial 16 (@sharjahart) unfolds under the theme to carry—an open-ended and multivocal proposition that invites audiences to reflect on movement, memory, and inheritance. Curated by five distinct voices, the Biennial explores the weight of what we carry across geographies and time, whether in moments of transition, displacement, survival, or stillness. 🤲 The curatorial projects within to carry serve as collective wayfinding, fostering dialogue on change and its ritualistic, societal, and technological implications. Through residencies, workshops, writing, sonic experiences, and collaborative production, the Biennial embraces diverse methodologies that encourage critical conversations and artistic experimentation. From intimate narratives to bold polyphonic installations, Sharjah Biennial 16 offers a dynamic platform for storytelling across cultures, perspectives, and generations. 📖 You can learn more about the Sharjah Biennial via the link in bio.
