Valeria Taccone is a photographer with a passion for music, particularly that of the Italian oral tradition.

Having come into contact with these two art forms, she had the opportunity – as early as her early university years – to take part as a singer in various musical projects, including the ethnic music orchestra Etnomusa (2013–2023), the group Musaica (2014–2020), with which she performs throughout Italy, and the artist and partner Davide Ambrogio, with whom she has had the opportunity to perform at international events such as the Sacred Spirit Festival in India, Cosmo Jazz and Rio Loco in France, and the Fira Mediterranea in Spain.

Now her work as a photographer also focuses primarily on documenting research into the traditional music and dance of Southern Italy on behalf of the World Music Academy in Puglia, where she currently lives and works.
