Khalid Albaih is a Romania-born, Doha-raised, Oslo-based Sudanese political cartoonist, writer, and cultural producer whose work is widely known under the name “Khartoon.” Albaih’s multidisciplinary practice moves between drawing, publishing, installation, and public art, treating images as both political tools and living archives. Shaped by lived experiences of migration and circulation, his work examines how power operates through repetition, visibility, and erasure in everyday visual culture. By working across intimate gestures and mass dissemination, he explores how memory, humour, and clarity can function as enduring forms of resistance.
