Keith Piper is a visual artist and academic. He was a founding member of the British BLK Art Group (active 1979–1984). Over the past four and a half decades, he has exhibited nationally and internationally. Utilizing a research-driven, site-specific process, he has developed a particular interest in the ways in which history and social relationships can be articulated through artwork and narration. His approach to media has ranged widely; over the years, he has produced paintings, sculpture, installations, lens-based media, and interactive projects.
