Volunteers play a vital role in the day-to-day activities of the Biennale of Sydney. Our volunteers are at the heart of what we do and a crucial component to helping visitors connect to the artworks through meaningful conversations.

Volunteers receive comprehensive training in artwork invigilation, curatorial interpretation, and visitor engagement, plus perks including exclusive events, and the opportunity to be part of Sydney’s vibrant contemporary arts community.
