The Biennale of Sydney was honoured to welcome the Federal Arts Minister Hon. Tony Burke, alongside Biennale CEO Barbara Moore, Placemaking NSW CEO Anita Mitchell, and Biennale board member Matt Crocker, to the 24th Biennale of Sydney, ‘Ten Thousand Suns’ at White Bay Power Station.

It was a privilege to walk with Minister Tony Burke through the impressive large-scale installations in the ‘Ten Thousand Suns’ exhibition within the historic industrial landmark that is White Bay Power Station. The group noted the diverse expression of First Nations artists exhibited from Australia and across the world, as well as the value of cultural exchange and artistic exploration on an international stage.

At the Biennale of Sydney, we’re dedicated to providing a platform for artistic expression, creativity, and community connectivity, providing an immersive, free celebration of art every two years. Minister Burke’s presence underscores the significance of our mission and the transformative power of art.
